Who Is Eligible for Reunification?

Family reunification provisions apply strictly to:

• Spouses: Legally married partners. The marriage must be recognized by Polish law (civil unions are generally not recognized for this specific permit).
• Children: Minor children of the foreigner or their spouse (including adopted children).

Sponsor Requirements

To sponsor your family, you (the resident living in Poland) generally need to meet specific criteria:

• Residence Title: You must hold a residence permit valid for at least 2 years (or a permanent/long-term permit, or a Blue Card). In some cases, a permit valid for 1 year may suffice if there is a prospect of extension.
• Stable Income: You must have a stable and regular source of income sufficient to cover the living costs of yourself and your dependent family members.
• Health Insurance: You must provide valid health insurance for all family members.
• Accommodation: You must have a legal title to a dwelling (rental contract or ownership deed) where the family will live.

Rights of Family Members
